About Children's Yoga
Center
Children's
Yoga Center (CYC) offers Traditional Hatha Yoga classes for children
and adults of every age in and around the city of Sonoma - reaching
out to kids particularly in Kenwood, Glen Ellen and Sonoma. We offer
classes in our location as well as help set up classes in community,
school, private homes or other locations.
Our Philosophy
Yoga is over 4000 years
old and addresses the many challenges associated with a busy lifestyle.
We understand it is a privilege to be able to share these teachings.
Yoga is much more than
just physical exercise. Yoga is a non-competitive exercise that
incorporates breathing exercises as well as diet and emotional good
health. What you think and how you behave is also an important part
of Yoga. Yoga addresses
the whole person. With Yoga you can regain your strength and vitality.
It helps children by giving them tools they need to develop healthy
habits and healthy lifestyles.
Our mission at Children's
Yoga Center is to teach the Art and Science of Yoga and the many
health benefits to children of all ages, ethnic and financial backgrounds
by offering affordable Yoga programs. With a special interest to
at risk youth and under served communities. Our vision is to create
and inspire CYC Programs in every town. Call us if you'd like us
to help create a program at your location or at your child's after-school
program. While our main focus is on children's yoga programs we
also offer adult and special needs programs.
